Foodie @ Hong Kong : Salted Fish 鹹魚

Salted Fish [ 鹹魚 Haam Yue ] - Apparently savory & salty. (Actually very salty) 

Old fashioned food, yet, still popular in nowadays cuisine. Quite common to see these dried and shrinkled fish hanging in wet market, small grocery stores (Especailly those in outlying islands), and in Sheung Wan where the Dried Seafood market locates.

Next time in a local restaurant, give a good try for this oldies foodie.

- Steam minced pork patty with shredded salted fish
- Stir fried egg plant with shredded salted fish
- Pan fried salted fish fillet
